Tell us a little about your experience as a chef

Originally from New Zealand Steve has spent the last 20 years working in five stars hotels and fantastic restaurants all over the world. While he was working as a chef on the island of Koh Samui, he fell in love with Thai cuisine and though he was initially French trained, Asian food is where his passion is.

What attracted you to teaching?

To share my passion for cooking with others and to encourage people to get back into the kitchen and creating delicious, simple recipes which can be cooked at home with ease!

What is your signature dish?

Anything Asian but I do love cooking and sharing Pork and Prawn spring rolls with a Nuoc Man dipping sauce.

What is your favourite class to teach and why?

I love cooking the Japanese classes as it's all about clean flavours, simple techniques that are easy to replicate at home.

What advice do you have for budding chefs?

Train in the best kitchen that you can find - those skills will form an invaluable base as you move forward.
