Mini chocolate financiers Recipe

A delicious classic chocolate treat. Serve after dinner or for afternoon tea!

Pour people
  • Egg white(s) : 5 whole
  • Icing sugar : 175 g
  • Salted butter : 150 g
  • Plain flour : 50 g
  • Ground almonds : 85 g
  • Dark chocolate : 100 g
  • ETAPE 1

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius.

  • ETAPE 2

    Whisk the egg whites and sugar together until light and fluffy. Fold in the flour and the ground almonds.

  • ETAPE 3

    Melt the butter in a pan on a low heat. Add the chocolate and mix it in to melt.

  • ETAPE 4

    Mix the chocolate with the flour mixture.

  • ETAPE 5

    Spoon into small rectangular silicon moulds on a baking tray and cook in the oven for 15 -20 minutes.

  • ETAPE 6

    Leave to cool before serving.

«Use a good quality 70% dark chocolate for baking. This gives a lovely rich flavour.»
