Caramelised apple smoothie with popping candy Recipe

A fresh smoothie made with caramelised apples and apple juice served with popping candy (carbonated sugar).

  • Golden Delicious apple(s) : 4 whole
  • Caster sugar : 100 g
  • Unsalted butter : 25 g
  • Apple juice : 200 ml
  • Semi-skimmed milk : 200 ml


  • ETAPE 1

    Peel and core the apples then cut the flesh into small cubes.

    Heat a frying pan to hot. Add the sugar and melt without stirring to obtain a caramel. Mix with a spoon then add the butter. Add the apple cubes and caramelise. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

    Add the milk and the apple juice to the pan and blitz in a blender.

    Serve in a glass with ice cubes and a straw, sprinkling with popping candy at the last moment.
