  • Pink Lady apple(s) : 6 whole
  • Caster sugar : 100 g
  • Lightly salted butter : 30 g
  • Double cream : 150 ml
Method
  • ETAPE 1

    Preheat the oven to 170°C.

    Peel the apples, remove the core and keep whole. Place in a large cooking pot or baking dish.

    Heat a heavy based frying pan and add the sugar. Melt, without stirring, to form a caramel. Remove from the heat and mix in the butter. Return to the heat and add the cream. Mix well and then pour the caramel over the apples. Cover the baking dish and bake in the oven for 45 minutes.

    These baked apples can be served warm or cold. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh cream.
