Pizza sauce Recipe

A simple sauce for topping pizza made with tomatoes, fresh basil and olive oil.

  • Tinned chopped tomatoes : 400 g
  • Red onion(s) : 1 whole
  • Garlic clove(s) : 1 whole
  • Olive oil : 100 ml
  • Basil : 1 bunch
  • Maldon salt : 6 pinch(es)
  • Freshly ground black pepper : 6 Turn


  • ETAPE 1

    Pour the olive oil into a saucepan and place on a low heat. Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Add the onion to the saucepan and cook for 2 minutes, add the garlic and cook for a further minute. Add the tinned tomatoes and seasoning and cook slowly for 45 minutes. The sauce needs to be a thick consistency before using. Chop the basil and add to the reduced sauce.
