Place the water and the sugar in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Stir and simmer until the sugar has dissolved and you have a sugar syrup.
Place the berries in a blender, add the sugar syrup and blend until smooth. Allow this mixture to cool and then place in an ice cream maker and churn until frozen.
Keep in the freezer until ready to serve.
