Marbled marzipan Easter eggs for decoration Recipe

Ingredients for people

  • Caster sugar : 250 g
  • Ground almonds : 300 g
  • Whole egg(s) : 2 whole
  • Powdered food colouring : 4 g

    Place all of the ingredients into a large bowl and combine by hand to form a stiff dough. Separate the marzipan into as many different colours as you want. Add the food colouring to each piece of marzipan and mix well.

    When the marzipan has all been coloured, take a small pinch of each colour, press them together gently to form a marble effect. Once combined, shape the mixture into a smooth egg.

    Sit the eggs on top of Easter cupcakes or on desserts for a fantastic seasonal garnish.
