Apricot and date granola bars Recipe

Ingredients for pieces

  • Unsalted butter : 100 g
  • Rolled oats : 200 g
  • Pumpkin seeds : 100 g
  • Sunflower seeds : 125 g
  • Honey : 4 tbsp
  • Light soft brown sugar : 100 g
  • Ground cinnamon : 1 Tsp
  • Dried date(s) : 100 g
  • Dried apricot(s) : 100 g
  • Walnut piece(s) : 50 g
  • Orange juice : 150 ml

    Preheat the oven to 170'C.

    Roughly chop the apricots, dates and walnuts. Place the oats and the seeds in a baking dish and mix together. Toast in the oven for 5 minutes to intensify their flavour.

    Place the butter, orange juice, honey and sugar in a large pan over a medium and stir until the butter has melted. Add the toasted oats and seeds, cinnamon, walnuts, chopped dried fruits to the pan and combine well.

    Spread the mixture onto a lined baking sheet and then top with a second sheet of baking parchment. Prick with a fork and then bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Allow to cool and then cut into 12 equal sized granola bars.
