Bircher muesli Recipe

A simple breakfast dish of oats, apples, fruits and yoghurt

Les ingrédients

Pour people
  • Rolled oats : 200 g
  • Apple juice : 250 ml
  • Braeburn apple(s) : 2 whole
  • Natural yoghurt(s) : 250 g
  • Ground cinnamon : 1 Tsp
  • Flaked almonds : 30 g
  • Sunflower seeds : 20 g
  • Walnut piece(s) : 20 g
  • Pumpkin seeds : 10 g
  • Redcurrant(s) : 100 g


  • ETAPE 1

    Grate the apples, mix together with the juice, yoghurt, cinnamon and oats.Chill this in the fridge for at least an hour.

  • ETAPE 2

    Toast the almonds and walnuts lightly, turn the pan off and mix together with the seeds as the pan cools.

  • ETAPE 3

    Mix half the nuts and seeds thru the muesli mix and serve topped with the red currants, more nuts and a little fresh yoghurt if you like.

Chef's tip

«Make this dish in advance, overnight is best, if you do the leave out half the yoghurt and mix that thru in the morning. Top it with what ever fruit you like.»
