Clean smoothie Recipe

Juicing is all the rage right now, however, not everyone has a juicer. Luckily, it turns out that smoothies give you more of the good stuff! So bring out the blender, it will earn its keep on your kitchen counter.

Ingredients
Pour people
  • Kale : 6 sprig
  • Cucumber(s) : 1 whole
  • Apple(s) : 3 whole
  • Fresh mint : 0.25 bunch
  • Orange(s) : 3 whole
  • Fresh ginger : 50 g
  • Cider vinegar : 30 ml
  • Honey : 2 tbsp
  • Water : 250 ml
Method
  • ETAPE 1

    Cut out the tough stem from each kale leaf, wash and spin dry before roughly chopping.

  • ETAPE 2

    Wash and scrub the ginger. Chop into smallish chunks.

  • ETAPE 3

    Wash and core the apple, then chop into chunks.

  • ETAPE 4

    Peel the oranges, and separate the segments.

  • ETAPE 5

    Feed all the ingredients into a blender jug, and blend until smooth.

  • ETAPE 6

    Taste for seasoning: if the smoothie needs more freshness, add more cider vinegar or the juice of a lemon; if it is too punchy, add some honey.

    Serve immediately.
