Smoothie are a great way to get your five a day in one go: quick and simple to make, they keep you feeling full and satisfied much longer than a juice ever can, and you won't crash after a carb high.
Cut the avocados in half, and split open. Cut the half with the pit in two, and remove the stone before peeling. Quarter the remaining half and peel.
Wash and scrub the ginger. Chop into smallish chunks.
Wash and core the apple, then chop into chunks.
Zest and juice the limes, keep separate.
Feed all the ingredients into a blender jug, except for the honey and the lime juice. Blend until smooth.
Taste for seasoning: for more freshness, add the lime juice to taste; if it is too punchy, add some honey.
