Brazilian style fried bananas Recipe

Ingredients for people

  • Banana(s) : 6 whole
  • Whole egg(s) : 2 whole
  • Plain flour : 100 g
  • Panko breadcrumbs : 200 g
  • Frying oil : 1 L

    In a deep saucpan, heat the oil until it reaches 175'C.

    Beat the eggs with a whisk.

    Place the plain flour on a tray or plate.

    Place the panko breadcrumbs on a tray or plate.

    Cut the bananas in half.

    Dredge the bananas in the flour to coat.

    Dip the bananas in the beaten eggs.

    Finally cover the bananas in breadcrumbs.

    Fry the bananas in batches until golden brown, and drain on clean paper towels.

    Serve immediately.

Chef's tip

«Instead of serving as a side dish, these fried bananas can be served as a dessert with cinnamon and sugar or a salted butter caramel. If you want to be more authentic, fresh cheese and Doce de leite would be wonderful.»

A suprisingly delicious side dish that can be served as a dessert as well.
