Spooky witches' fingers Recipe

Delicious and spooky sweet biscuits with raspberry jam and almonds.

  • For the biscuit(s)
  • Unsalted butter : 100 g
  • Caster sugar : 100 g
  • Whole egg(s) : 1 whole
  • Vanilla pod(s) : 1 whole
  • Plain flour : 225 g
  • Baking powder : 1 Tsp
  • Whole almonds : 45 whole
  • Raspberry jam : 5 Tsp


  • ETAPE 1

    Preheat the oven to 180C.

  • ETAPE 2

    In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar until pale. Add the egg and vanilla, and whisk again. Sift in the flour and baking powder, and mix to form a soft dough. Chill for 30 mins.

  • ETAPE 3

    Divide the dough into aprox 40-45 pieces and roll each piece into a finger shape. Press the back of a knife into the dough to make knuckles. Lightly press an almond where the nail would be to shape.

  • ETAPE 4

    Spoon a little jam onto the nail base and top with an almond.

  • ETAPE 5

    Put on lined baking trays and chill for 30 mins. Bake for 10-12 mins until pale golden.

Chef's tip
